About David


David’s shooting began in his early teens and he has shot at, county, national and international level. He has won the Olympic Skeet grand prix twice (2008, 2010) The Olympic Skeet English open (2011) and has England caps for 2006, 2008 and 2010. He has also won numerous regional championships in English Skeet and won his class in the English open sporting (2000).

As a full time instructor for over 12 years, he’s taught all clay shooting disciplines. His reputation at homing in on problems is legendary. Often one session is enough to solve a problem. In 2012 David was awarded the clay pigeon shooting association’s coach of the year award.

His technical skills range from setting up shoots and equipment selection to refereeing. In 2002 he was a technical officer for the commonwealth games at Manchester, and in 2012 he was a technical officer and senior referee at the London Olympics.


Skeet Coaching


David’s speciality is Olympic Skeet, so he is able to offer detailed instruction and coaching for new and experienced skeet shooters (English and Olympic).


Training and instruction


David tailors his instruction to each individuals needs, be it patient tuition or escalating challenges. He takes pride in making sure every shooter gets maximum benefit in the shortest time, and there is lots of fun to be had... he’ll have you hitting targets you never thought you would..

David can advise on which gun is best for you, how much to pay and where to get it - no matter what shape or size you are. Left-handers, ladies, and juniors can call on his vast experience.
